For thousands of years, the chakras have been used within Indian spiritual traditions as a way of understanding the connection between body, mind and inner awareness.

The word chakra comes from Sanskrit and means “wheel” or “disc.” Today, the seven-chakra system is often represented by seven energy centres running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

Each chakra is associated with a different aspect of our inner world — from feeling grounded and secure to love, communication, intuition and spiritual connection.

What do the seven chakras represent?

While chakra traditions and interpretations vary, the seven chakras commonly recognised today each carry their own symbolism.

1. Root Chakra — Muladhara

Located at the base of the spine, the Root Chakra is associated with our foundation — the feeling of being safe, grounded and connected to the world around us.

Its symbol can serve as a reminder to slow down, find your footing and return to the present moment.

2. Sacral Chakra — Svadhisthana

The Sacral Chakra is connected with creativity, emotions, pleasure and our ability to embrace change.

It reminds us to make room for joy, curiosity and the things that make us feel alive.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra — Manipura

Confidence · Strength · Purpose

Associated with personal power and self-confidence, the Solar Plexus Chakra represents the courage to trust yourself and follow your own path.

A small reminder that sometimes the strength we are looking for is already within us.

4. Heart Chakra — Anahata

Love · Compassion · Connection

At the centre of the seven chakras lies the Heart Chakra.

It represents love in its many forms — love for others, compassion, connection and the love and kindness we are able to give ourselves.

Perhaps the simplest reminder of all: lead with your heart.

5. Throat Chakra — Vishuddha

Expression · Communication · Truth

The Throat Chakra represents our voice and our ability to communicate authentically.

Its symbolism encourages us to speak honestly, listen openly and have the courage to express who we truly are.

6. Third Eye Chakra — Ajna

Intuition · Insight · Awareness

The Third Eye Chakra is associated with intuition, inner wisdom and our ability to see beyond what is immediately in front of us.

It can be a reminder to quiet the noise around us and listen a little more closely to ourselves.

7. Crown Chakra — Sahasrara

Connection · Consciousness · Inner peace

The Crown Chakra represents our connection to something greater than ourselves and is often associated with consciousness, wisdom and spiritual awareness.

Rather than representing a destination, we like to think of it as a symbol of the continuing journey within.

The collection includes a chakra necklace, chakra bracelet and chakra anklet, each featuring a sequence of individually cut-out chakra symbols.

The delicate 9 mm symbols allow the skin to show through the designs, giving the jewelry a light and intricate appearance despite the detail of the ancient-inspired motifs.

Created in our signature Scandinavian-meets-bohemian style, every piece is crafted from durable stainless steel and finished in 18k gold-tone IP plating.

Like the rest of our jewelry, the collection is designed for real life: water-resistant, sweat-resistant, hypoallergenic and made without nickel or lead.
